Tamdhu Edinburgh Airport Single Cask Speyside Single Malt Whiskey 57.1% ~ Special Limited Edition

Tamdhu Exclusive Edinburgh Airport Single Cask ~ European Oak First Fill

Tamdhu Quotes:
“From Spain to Speyside.... Let's start at the beginning. But the beginning isn't at the distillery on Speyside where you might expect. The Tamdhu story starts under the warming Spanish sun. In 1898 our founders secured their first precious shipment of sherry casks from the finest bodegas in Spain.
Now over 100 years later, Tamdhu matures its whisky exclusively in the finest Oloroso sherry casks. Although the casks are exceptionally rare and expensive, we wouldn't change our methods, as we think it's the only way to create the very best single malt whisky”

They Were delighted to launch their first ever airport exclusive Single Cask.
Distilled in November 2002 and bottled in February 2019, this first-fill Oloroso sherry cask from Jerez was hand-picked by key members of the Dufry and Edinburgh Airport teams during a visit to the Tamdhu Distillery.
Officially the oldest ever single cask released from Tamdhu, it was chosen unanimously from a shortlist of eight casks, with all parties agreeing that it stood apart from the selection of exceptional whiskies.
Only 597 bottles were made available of this airport exclusive.

Tasting Notes:
~ Nose: Rich and luxurious on the nose with buttered warm fruit cake and custard, balanced beautifully with the freshness of strawberries and orange zest.
~ Palate: Enjoy a soft yet thick mouthful, bursting with rich sherried flavour, the sweetness of dried apricot and raisins with just a hint of cinnamon.
~ Finish: The finish is beautifully rich with the essence of concentrated dried fruit, a warming trace of vanilla and a wisp of fresh oak.
